EDMONTON, AB – Ahmed (Muruh) Ali, a candidate for Edmonton School Division’s Ward B, recently discussed his campaign and vision for public education during an interview on the local radio program “Madasha Furan.”
During the interview, Mr. Ali detailed his journey to Canada, noting that he spent 19 years in Calgary after living in Toronto. He shared that his early education took place in Somalia before he pursued advanced studies in Canada.

Mr. Ali, who serves as the president of the Social Injustice and Education Equality Association, emphasized his commitment to addressing community needs. He stated that in his office, he frequently meets with members of the Somali community who share their concerns and needs. He believes that by being elected, he can bring these issues forward to be addressed.
Mr. Ali concluded the interview by directly appealing to voters. He asked the people of Ward B to vote for him and for those who are unable to vote for him to consider supporting his campaign.
