Isn't this what Organizations teach for Somali newcomers?
We don’t think so. Some organizations offer English classes and basic job search assistance, but our workshops go beyond that. In order to provide very updated and hands-on training, we have taken inspiration from these programs and enhanced them. Somali newcomers need comprehensive skills and knowledge in order to succeed in their new environment.
We aim to provide a supportive and enriching learning experience tailored to the unique needs of Somalis at our workshops.
Should I bring my laptop?
Yes, both online and in-person workshops encourage students to bring their laptops. You might not need to buy a laptop if your school or organization has an in-house computer lab.
Are all workshops in Somali language?
Workshops are designed for newcomers to Canada who have little or no knowledge of English or French. However, we also offer training in English.
What is the duration of the workshop?
For individuals or organizations, we usually work around your schedule. Our in-person workshops last 1-3 days, with one and a half hours each day, depending on the workshop you choose.
Our workshops are flexible, so you get the most out of them without compromising your other commitments.

Do you offer a free workshop?
Online
We offer both live and prerecorded online workshops, ensuring flexibility for participants. In addition, students will be able to ask questions via Zoom calls and interact with instructors.
In Person
In-person workshops are held at schools, organizations, or other venues in your town. To ensure an enriching and seamless learning experience, we strive to make our workshops easily accessible to you.
