SAFE AT LAST: Missing Winnipeg Man Located, Police Confirm

Winnipeg, Manitoba – A wave of relief is sweeping across the city as the Winnipeg Police Service confirms that Amin Abdulle, the 36-year-old man reported missing last week, has been safely located.

Abdulle was the subject of an urgent public appeal after he was last seen around 1 a.m. on October 12, 2025, in the vicinity of Mountain Avenue and McPhillips Street in the Shaughnessy Park neighbourhood. Police had previously expressed concern for his well-being.

The search, which utilized information and assistance from the public, concluded successfully. On Monday, October 20, the Winnipeg Police issued an update confirming the positive outcome.

Details regarding the circumstances of his disappearance and subsequent return have not been released. To protect the man’s privacy, his name and image, which were part of the initial appeal for assistance, have been officially removed from all related police and media statements.

The Winnipeg Police Service expressed thanks to the community for their vigilance and assistance in sharing the initial missing person alert.
